Beck’s Timebomb becomes international dance craze!
Tuesday, December 18th, 2007An art student is using ‘Timebomb’ to get people dancing all over the world! Her project is called “Global Dancing Call and Response” and is an awesome idea:
Sarah Febbraro wants you to dance with her.
She wants everyone to dance with her.
The 32-year-old Art Institute of Chicago student and sometimes dance instructor has posted a short dance of her invention on youtube.com.
The idea is for people to learn it and in turn post videos of themselves cutting loose.

Reminder: From The Basement on Saturday!
Friday, December 14th, 2007British Beck fans, don’t forget to watch (and record!) From the Basement featuring Beck tomorrow night, Saturday December 15th at 9PM on Sky Arts (Channel 267) and Sky HD (Channel 268).
For those of you who don’t know, this is a performance by Beck and his band (from last year I think) performing live in Nigel Godrich’s basement. Beck friend Jamie Lidell is also on the episode I believe.
Here’s a YouTube preview, unfortunately the same as the video I linked to before:

We Got A Red Alert
Tuesday, September 11th, 2007An unofficial homemade video for “Timebomb” is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWtZ1TqMq4g
It’s brilliant fun, and definitely one of the best Beck videos out there. Take that, Michel Gondry and your fancy camera angles.
It was made by Hambeck, a Japanese fan for which we link to his her Beck blog over there —->
Great job man sistah!
the keyboard of your memory is coming apart
Tuesday, November 14th, 2006Roger Joseph Manning Jr., who has played on Beck’s albums and in his touring band, remixed Beck tracks, and generally kicks ass outside of the Beck world, has been posting a series of videos giving a tour of his various equipment. He’s just posted the latest one, In the Stu-Stu-Studio Part 3. Go check them out at YouTube.

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006Beck released a self-titled video compilation on the iTunes Music Store today. It includes the 21 videos below for $2.29 each, or the whole shebang for $24.99 The album notes read:
Beck’s use of strikingly off-kilter imagery — touched by flashes of humor and marked by deconstructed pop culture references — has made him one of the music world’s foremost surrealists, whose promo video work with Michel Gondry and Spike Jonze has exploded the possibilities of the genre. iTunes is proud to present this collection of Mr. Hansen’s videos — ranging from frantic early work, like “Beercan,” to the most recent videos for “Girl” and “Hell Yes.” You’ll also get video footage of Beck performing two of Sea Change‘s finest moments, “Guess I’m Doing Fine” and “The Golden Age,” live.
Here’s the list of videos:
- Hell Yes

- Ghettochip Malfunction
- Black Tambourine
