Mashup man Arty Fufkin has posted a Beck/Boomtown Rats mashup, Rat Sexx. Check it out here.

Update: Ok, maybe I should have listened to it first. It’s actually just a short clip of a mashup that I guess he’s having trouble with. My mistake.

Tokyopop will team up with Interscope Records to combine Beck and Beck. With every copy of BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad Vol. 4, Tokyopop will include an online access code to get Go It Alone, an exclusive remixed track from the musician Beck’s 2005 Guero.

The track will be downloadable from the Tokyopop website.

So the question is, will this actually be an exclusive (=new) remix, or something we’ve heard before? If any of you are fans of both Becks, please buy this and let us know!

Sorry, not a lot of Beck stuff going on lately.  Mainly, there are some US tour dates in May and June, and some Europe shows in August planned.  You can see them here, or at  It appears that Justin Meldal-Johnsen will be rocking the bass with the band again for the US shows, at least.  Great news!  Also, I guess the Nacho Libre film score was shelved by the producers.  But since it was in fact recorded, maybe if we all ask real nice, Beck will put it out for us somehow (  EP?).  More on all that courtesy of Beck’s keyboardist, Brian Lebarton, here.
