Notes:
Beck returns to the NorthSide Festival, headlining the third day, June 9. He also performed at this festival in 2016.
Headliners for the other days: Bjork on June 7, The National and Queens Of The Stone Age on June 8.
Setlist verified by me (a bootleg exists that is only missing the first song).
The set hits with a terrific "Wow," after which Beck really finds his voice - he seems quite focused tonight. Though, by the end of the show, he's in a much goofier mood too. It's a fun mix!
Beck later says he had intended to do a festival set with mostly fast songs, but someone before the show requested "Blue Moon" so they tossed that in there.
The sound quality of the bootleg really emphasizes the multiple-guitar attack of "Dreams," and just the overall strength of the deep Colors band.
Beck then tells the crowd this was his favorite show of the year to that point. Could be lip service, I guess, but it's not something I've heard him say regularly. (And bootleg-wise it's one of my faves.)
