Lyrics:
I'm Set Free [Live version (a)]:

[From February 26, 2002 version]

Thom Yorke:
I've been set free and I've been bound
To the memories of yesterday's clouds
I've been set free and I've been bound
And now I'm set free, I'm set free
I'm set free to find a new illusion

Beck:
I've been blinded but now I can see
What in the world has happened to me?
The prince of stories who walks right by me
And now I'm set free, I'm set free
I'm set free to find a new illusion

Thom Yorke:
I've been set free and I've been bound
Let me tell you people just what I've found
I saw my head laughing, rolling on the ground
And now I'm set free, I'm set free
I'm set free to find a new illusion

The Song:

"I'm Set Free" is a song from the Velvet Underground's self-titled third album.

Live:

Played live 2 times:
Earliest known live version: February 21, 2002
Latest known live version: February 26, 2002

Beck played it live the first time on February 21 2002. He played it on piano, which was relatively rare for Beck up to that point, and with Justin Meldal-Johnsen on bass.

A few days later Beck Hansen was joined by Thom Yorke on stage, and they sang this together. Almost unbelievable! It was a benefit gig for the Recording Artists Coalition. Thom joined Beck's band on stage, to the surprise of just about everyone. Thom sang the first verse, and Beck the second. They duet on the choruses. Not much more I can say about it. Find a copy, it's fantastic. :-)
