This was a warmup rehearsal show for the South American gigs with The Police, and the first show with this new band of familiar faces (Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen and Jason Falkner).

I loved this show. There was a lot of excitement for it, and kind of fun to see Nigel Godrich in the band. Beck hadn't been on stage in 6-7 months (and wouldn't after this week for another 6-7 months). So it was a little island of Beck activity, albeit most of it in South America!

"Fuckin With My Head" and "Mutherfuker" were total surprises, the first not having been performed in 9 years.
