Date: July 16, 2005
Leg: Guero Tour - Leg Two (North America: West Coast summer)
Venue: Memorial Coliseum
City: Portland
State: Oregon
Country: United States
Notes:
Beck comes out and announces "What's going on Vancouver?!" He realizes his mistake right away, I think, because then he immediately compensates with "What's going on San Diego? Des Moines!"; Beck leads off "Emergency Exit" with a very pretty, short slide guitar solo.; Bizarre ending to "Hotwax," sounds like something went wrong.. but it works!; "Send A Message To Her" makes a rare live appearence.; "Hot In Herre" sounds spontaneous ("I just got an idea for something different"), as the band plays a moody beat and Beck purrs the lyrics.; Even rarer harmonium version of "The Golden Age." Is this the only time he did that?; Beck plays a long acoustic medley, despite admitting "it's awful to do medleys.";
The concert was held in 1/3 of a 10,000 seat arena. The stage was on the floor facing one end of the hall. 3,000 tickets were put on sale.;
