After performing on Letterman the previous night, Beck was stranded in New York by a huge blizzard. Jay-Z, who was supposed to perform, couldn't make it and Letterman had Beck play again.
This is definitely one of my favorite TV appearences. The new arrangement of "Sunday Sun" is dynamite, and this was the first time I'd heard it. Really cool. It was fun getting to see Beck on TV every night for a week or so too (Saturday Night Live, two Lettermans, and a Conan).
