Beck made an appearence at the opening for this art exhibit at Thread Waxing Space, which had his grandfather's collages on display, as well as a number of Beck's videos.
Then afterwards, there was a performance at The Roxy by a number of artists, like Cat Power, a noise improv group with Thurston Moore, and Beck's brother Channing. Many of the performances were fluxus art pieces, and not necessarily musical, but some were. Beck was there, but only came on stage to say thanks and to introduce Marianne Faithfull.
