Leg: Sea Change Tour with Flaming Lips, Second Leg
Venue: KLRU Studio
City: Austin
State: Texas
Country: United States
Notes: The above date was when the show was taped. It aired on PBS in January 2003.
Show #33 of the Sea Change tours. Show #13 of Beck/Flaming Lips tour. Everything before "The Golden Age" was part of Beck's solo acoustic set. Everything after "The Golden Age" was with the Lips (except "Nobody's Fault").
Tour debut of "Magnolia."
An hour of the show was broadcast on PBS.; Beck comments before "Magnolia" that he's going to do it "just like I'm sitting on my bed."; It's great to have a televised version of "Nobody's Fault," and getting to see Beck play the harmonium up close.; The end of "Little One" is cool, the Lips (especially Kliph, the drummer) get to go wild.; Very laidback, almost to the point of being lifeless, jam of "Sissyneck."; Broadcast ends with a few minutes of an excellent Beck interview.;
