Notes: Beck played the main Orange Stage at Roskilde on the Friday of Roskilde Festival, just ahead of Neil Young. There were a ton of cool groups at this festival this year, but the ones I listed were on the Orange Stage on Friday with Beck.
tour debut of "Pay No Mind."
Very nice recording!; On this tour, Beck's been opening each show with one solo acoustic number before the band comes on. Tonight was the first time he used "Pay No Mind." Something distracts him halfway through the song, and he forgets the lyrics.; "We're gonna launch a few torpedoes over your heads tonight," Beck warns the audience. "We are not men," he explains, channeling Devo.; "Milk & Honey" is a little sloppy, and Beck sort of jumps in and out of the song's choruses and bridges (e.g., singing the first two lines of the "Bangkok athletes" rap, before stopping). It gives the song a strange feel.; Beck says "Acoustic Blues" is called "Competing with the Rave Tent (For Decibel Level)."; A somewhat slower, lengthier version of "Forcefield."
