Notes: Live debuts of "Devil Town," "Win," "She Thinks I Still Care", "Our Lips Are Sealed," and "We Got the Beat"
Petra Haden had been injured after being struck by a car, and a number of her friends put on a benefit concert to pay her bills.
Beck does a 30-minute solo set.; A mesmerizing "Devil Town" opens the show, the first and only time, he has played the song.; After "Dead Melodies," Beck talks about his highly technical watch which he got in Tokyo.; Beck false starts on "Win," but as usual after false starts, nails it after that.; After "Win," Beck takes some requests. He of course gets the usual requests, but he settles on "Cyanide Breath Mint"--as far as I can tell, the first time, he's played the song in over four years. Nice one to dig back up!; Beck then tries to get "Ella Speed" jumpin', but gives up, and moves on to another new cover "She Thinks I Still Care."
The Go-Gos (sans Belinda Carlisle) also performed, with different vocalists helping out. Beck sang backup on two of their songs, "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat".
