Notes:
This was one of those radio show holiday festivals that happen all over the country every December. But this one, uniquely, was at the 9:30 Club, a small venue of only 1200 people. Tickets could only be obtained by winning them from WHFS.
Tori Amos and Foo Fighters also played. The whole thing was broadcast on the radio. Tori's set, at least, was also broadcast online via RealAudio; not sure if Beck's was too.
Beck oozes funk right off the bat. "Novacane" kicks the show off in high gear and it never slows down - even "Jack-ass" is really rockin'. Beck and the band are really tight, the sound quality is great, and everybody's really into it. This show is short, but well worth checking out.
