This was a sort of kick-off concert for Midnite Vultures, which was to be released in a couple of weeks, and the big tour would start a few months later. It also introduced Beck's new guitarist and drummer, Lyle Workman and Victor Indrizzo, as Smokey and Joey decided not to join the Vultures tours.

I was at this show, and I remember it mostly for being extremely close to the stage. I've been close a few times, but this one small and I was leaning on the stage, right near JMJ. The new Vultures songs made immediate, fun impressions, like "Peaches & Cream" and "Broken Train."
