Notes:
The annual E3 event was going on, and Sony had a party to celebrate their new Playstation. Beck performed! As he did on some of the New York appearences, Anthony Saffrey of Cornershop played sitar on "Nobody's Fault" and "Loser."
Despite it being a private party, this was hardly small. One report says, "Sony filled one of their own sound stages with some 3,000 guests, three Jumbotrons, hundreds of TVs, and a buffet to feed the lot of us. Headlining this gargantuan party was Beck." It also said the set was "complimented by movie style camera work that displayed the show in Jumbotron
glory, and Sony's crystal clear, club-shaking sound system."
Also, the encore of "Electric Avenue" apparently had "five slightly off break-dancers in red suits and matching bowlers."
And, for some genius reason, the band Hanson was invited to attend, and Beck got to take a picture with his namesakes. (See it in the gallery below.)
