Notes:
Beck shows up in NYC to do some promo appearences like SNL and stuff, and meanwhile did one club show. It was reportedly early, at 5pm--Beck refers to it on stage as a "matinee" where they'll be rocking some "milk & cookies." Regardless, it's a pretty intense show, and Beck's in superb spirits.;
Insanely long and insane guitar solo on "Lord Only Knows." Love it!; "Everlasting Secret Jubilee" is a folk song Beck does to start his acoustic set, it's the only time he's ever played it we're aware of.; After the acoustic folk set, Beck brings a volunteer from the audience to beatbox (who turns out quite excellent, and Beck calls him MC Sweatshirt), and he raps the first verse "Diskobox" over it before going wild chanting "ghost electric telephone bones" a bunch of times.; Just look at that rowdy ending--"Devils Haircut," "Sissyneck," "Beercan," an utterly amazing "Debra," "High 5." That's how you end a Beck concert right there.
Seriously, this show brings it.
