When Beck was named Artist of the Year in 1996 by SPIN magazine, they wrote a big profile on him. The author traveled with the band through the three Texas gigs (today is the second).
He called this show "bizarre," noting a man in a wheelchair crowd-surfing (!), a 10-year old kid nobody knows dancing on stage during "High 5" "as if he were part of the band," Beck being pelted by ice during his acoustic set, and, after the show, a rat falling on Joey Waronker's head. The band played Scrabble on the bus to the next show.
Setlist are the songs mentioned from a short review in the Austin Chronicle.
