Leg: The Night Running Tour - Summer 2019
Venue: Sunlight Supply Amphitheater
City: Ridgefield
State: Washington
Country: United States
Notes:
This show was the opening night of The Night Running tour, a long mini-festival sort of show with Cage the Elephant and Spoon that would last for six weeks through the summer of 2019.
The show was in Ridgefield, Washington, which is basically very close to and a suburb of Portland, Oregon.
It is also the first show for two new band members, Marc Walloch (guitars) and Cal Campbell (percussion and stuff) who replace The B-53s (Alex Lilly and Cecilia Della Perutti).
Most of the songs follow the general arrangements of the Colors tour, with maybe a slightly noisier/atmospheric vibe. Strangely, I could find videos of all the songs except the two acoustic ones ("Lost Cause" and "Blue Moon").
"Saw Lightning" saw it's first full band performance (Beck has performed it solo on harmonica twice before).
Jason broke into The Stooges' "Search and Destroy" for his cover song, and he sang a portion of it too. Roger then follows it up by singing Blur's "Girls & Boys". Cal Campbell hammers a mini-percussion solo, and then Marc Walloch plays and sings some of The Smiths' "How Soon Is Now?". At the very end of "Where It's At," as the song concludes, Beck caps the show with a bit of "Saw Lightning."
