Notes: Beck appears at yet another charity benefit show (this is something like his 6th since the Colors tour ended in October). This show is a benefit for Malibu, where Beck used to live, and had recently been ravaged by a gigantic wildfire.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are headlining, with Beck and St. Vincent set to open.
It's a fairly typical set for Beck, until Jack Black shows up and does a wild duet on "Sexx Laws." (Jack was in the original "Sexx Laws" video 20 years earlier too.) Watch it here, I think it's pretty great... the slower soul intro verses are a new twist for the song.
Jack would also return to sing during the covers section, even adding some Phil Collins' to Chris Coleman's drum solo, and toss some songs by The Doors into "Where It's At."
