Notes:
Setlist from setlist.fm, and a couple of videos (about half the show is on Youtube at time of writing).
The first show of a new leg on the Colors tour brought a LOT of energy.
A funky intro to "Mixed Bizness" has Beck shouting out a bunch of Vultures' allusions: "all my midnite vultures! my Hollywood freaks! Peaches & cream, nicotine & gravy! I can think of a couple sexx laws I can defy right now. Can I hear the b-boys scream? In the hot tubs, looking real dope." The song refuses to end, as Beck continues to shout out Vultures and a short slower funk groove extends the great version of "Mixed Bizness."
Beck's solo acoustic set in the middle was basically a long 7-minute version of "Debra," who as he picks up in his Daiwoo, fiddles with the satellite radio station -- which leads him into a cover of "Raspberry Beret" all within the middle of the song.
After "Debra," Beck asks the crowd if he should get noisy or if he should do "Blue Moon." He decides to rock and drops "Blue Moon" from the set.
During "Where It's At," Beck tells the crowd that someone stole his pants the previous night. "That's life, right? One day you're wearing pants, the next... someone else is wearing them."
