This was the first 1995 Lollapalooza date! It was a pretty famous thing back then, and it was covered by MTV:



It was even reviewed in the NY Times (though they called Beck 'not particularly compelling' and moved on to other artists--most reviews focused on Sinead O'Connor and Courtney Love a bit).

Many of the artists had an early online blog and Beck wrote about this first show, calling it “a gradual frothing, monitored by securities and MTVs.”"

As usual on Lollapalooza dates, Beck played a main set (below) on the Main Stage, but also would play acoustic-style sets on the Second Stage.

Second stage artists: Doo Rag, Possum Dixon, Poster Children, Yo La Tengo, Coolio and Blowhole.

The old beck.com setlist for this show had a bunch of 'unknown's listed; that's why there are holes below; there did used to be cassette bootlegs of this show, but not sure if it was ever digitalized. Email if you still have this!
