This was a surprise show, hosted by Beck's UK Song Reader publisher, Faber. It was at a very tiny club, The Social, and tickets, I believe, were only given out to lucky winners. (And Faber employees, probably.)
Beck played alone, mostly acoustic stuff. "Rowboat" was at the request of an audience member, though Beck didn't finish the song for whatever reason. He also read through some of the jokes on the back of Song Reader, cracking himself up.
