Beck made an appearance on The Colbert Report. He sat for a short interview, telling Stephen Colbert that his music was "jungle-dub cool-out lounge-banjo" and some other witty repartee.

Then Beck and his band played "Heart Is A Drum," the official video of which was released the same night.

They then did a knock-out version of "Heaven's Ladder" as a web exclusive, the official Song Reader CD being released the next day.
