OK, quick story. Beck played a live show in Tucson at the end of his tour. His opening act, however, had to drop out for the last show. So his band decided to open the show for him. But what to play? What to wear? They wrote a bunch of metal songs, put on wigs, and unleashed on an unsuspecting Arizona audience.
They then announced their existence on Myspace and Stewoo.net. And then recorded the album. And played more shows. Beck was not actually involved.
But, on one night, Beck did a show on his tour in LA. Afterwards, they went and played another gig in a small bar in Silverlake. Halfway through that (amazing) performance, Beck announced, "Now is time for some Wounded Cougar." And the band launched into the legendary WuCu song "Drop Your Panties." Beck added guitar, and let Stallion sing.
