The Song:

This song is one of the demos by Beck's early-90s band, Loser. The 1992 Demo tape consists half of Beck's folk demos, and half of some metal/punk demos by Loser. This particular track seems quite unstructured, each verse consisting of likely improvised vocals. The song ends up in a semi-decent noise jam with feedback.

Note that the phrase "night birds" shows up later in "Dead Melodies."

Notes:

The tape these songs were on did not come equipped with titles. So "Night Birds" is unofficial. However, Steve Hanft has confirmed that there was no such song called "Night Birds," but because Stevie Nicks has a song with that title, he wants to refer to this as "Stevie Nicks Licked Me." Thanks Steve!
