Lyrics:
YES

Looking for my place on assembly lines
Fake prizes rising out of the bomb holes
Skeleton boys hyped up on purple
Smoke rings blow from across the disco
Bank notes burn like broken equipment
Looking for shelter, readjust your position
Thought control, ghostwritten confessions
Two dimensions, dumb your head down
Duck, don't look now, company missiles
Power is raunchy, rent-a-cops are watching
Makin' their dreams out of paper mache
Cliche wasted hate taste-tested

Hell yes now I'm moving this way, I'm doing this thing
Please enjoy
Hell yes now I'm turning it on, I'm working my legs
Hell yes now I'm calling you out, I'm switching my plates
Please enjoy
Hell yes now I'm cleaning the floor, my beat is correct

Hai
Yea that's it
Yea that's it
Hai

Stretched to the limit, attention spans snap back
Retract, collapse into laugh tracks
Noise response, applause and handclaps
Floodgates open to the sound of the rainbow
Breakin' points on the verge of pointless
Fools anointed to the follower's fanfare
Look for the common, not superficial
Code red Cola War conformity crisis
Perfunctory idols rewriting their bibles
With magic markers running out of their ink
Lives in White Out, turn the lights out
Fax machine anthems, get your damn hands up

Hell yes now I'm moving this way, I'm doing this thing
Please enjoy
Hell yes now I'm turning it on, I'm working my legs
Hell yes now I'm calling you out, I'm switching my plates
Please enjoy
Hell yes now I'm cleaning the floor, my beat is correct

Yes
YES
Hai
HAI
I like your bass
I LIKE YOUR BASS
Your beat is nice
YOUR BEAT IS NICE
Yea that's it
YEA THAT'S IT
YES
BEYATCH

Hell yes now I'm moving this way, I'm doing this thing
Please enjoy
Hell yes now I'm turning it on, I'm working my legs
Hell yes now I'm calling you out, I'm switching my plates
Please enjoy
Hell yes now I'm cleaning the floor, my beat is correct

HELL YES

The Song:

"Ghettochip Malfunction" is the name of a remix of "Hell Yes" done by 8-bit, and released on a vinyl single. It is also the "Hell Yes" remix on Guerolito.

This version of the song is very new wave-y, lots of cascading Gameboy beats, and provides a pretty funky background for Beck's vocals.

2008-2009 Modern Guilt tours

Pretty much any "Hell Yes" played between the August 2008 and March 2009 was done in the "Ghettochip Malfunction" Gameboy arrangement! I believe Brian LeBarton had a part in this, but they arranged Gameboys/synthesizers and the band would all play little tiny electronic instruments, recreating the "Ghettochip" music for Beck to sing over.

2014 Morning Phase tours

Beck took some years off touring in 2010-2011. "Ghettochip" was not done in 2012 or 2013 either, but on the Morning Phase tours, the electro version of "Hell Yes" made its live return. The song always included Beck rapping some of Busta Rhymes' "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" in the middle of it too. (Also, see the main "Hell Yes" page.)

2015-2016 post-Morning Phase tours

The song continued as a near-regular in Beck's sporadic touring of 2015 and 2016 as well.
