The Song:"Thinking About You" was a song Beck played at a few acoustic gigs in 2021/2022. He changed lyrics across performances, even moved it from strumming to fingerpicking.
Then, in 2023, Beck released a recorded version as a single. Most press seemed to compare it to
Morning Phase and that seems accurate. He used some of his regular band who color the song nicely. The melody is strong, as Beck ruminates on lost love.
