Lyrics:
I Turn My Camera On [Version (a)]:

I turn my camera on
I turn my camera on for you
Feel it slippin' away

I turn my feelings on
I turn my feelings on for life
And it wasn't polite

Hit me like a bomb
Hit me like a bomb
Hit me like a bomb

I turn my feelings on
I turn my feelings on the side
Like I'm gonna ignite

I saw the stars go off
I saw the stars go off at night
And they're looking alright

Keep on rollin' along
Keep on rollin' along
Keep on blowin' 'em off
Keep on blowin' 'em off

Keep on rollin' along
Keep on rollin' along
Keep on blowin' 'em off
Keep on blowin' 'em off

I turn my camera on
I turn my camera on for you
Feel it slippin' away

I turn my feelings on
I turn my feelings on for life
And it wasn't polite

Hit me like a bomb
Hit me like a bomb
Hit me like a bomb
And they're looking alright

Keep on rollin' along
Keep on rollin' along
Keep on blowin' 'em off
Keep on blowin' 'em off

Keep on rollin' along
Keep on rollin' along
Keep on blowin' 'em off
Keep on blowin' 'em off

The Song:

At a show in New York City in the summer of 2018, Spoon's frontman Britt Daniel joined Beck's band for a couple of songs. They did "Dear Life" together, and then they all covered Spoon's hit "I Turn My Camera On."

The song can be found on Spoon's 2005 record Gimme Fiction.

The following year, Beck did a long summer tour with Cage the Elephant and Spoon. To commemorate the tour, he released a single with a cover of one song by each band. On the Spoon side, he did "I Turn My Camera On".

His version sounds fairly similar to Spoon's sexy original, a groovy Prince-style rock jam.
