Lyrics:
Infinite Cow [Version (a)]:

Testing. Take 73.
How did my mind evolve into this question?
How did the alphabet become these words?
How did these words become this sentence?
How did this song float into your head?
How now infinite cow, how now infinite cow
Now and then, now forever
Now is here and now is here
Where is it? It is now
Now past, now present, future
How now infinite cow, how now infinite cow
How now invisible cow, how now invisible cow
How now invisible cow, how now invisible cow
How now invisible cow, how now invisible cow
How now invisible cow, how now invisible cow
How now invisible cow, how now invisible cow
Lay that old cow tongue on me, yeah!
Lickin' my face, oh it feels good
Big old fat cow tongue, down in the cow-town
Oh it feels so good, oh yeah

The Song:

Carl Stephenson, who co-wrote and co-produced "Loser" and a few other songs on Mellow Gold, had his own solo project called Forest For The Trees. In 1997, a self-titled album was finally released, which was an extremely odd and eclectic collection of songs and sounds. Beck appeared on a couple of the tracks (the other being "Fall"). Beck's contributions were probably recorded way back in '92 or '93 as he worked on the Mellow Gold tracks with Stephenson.

One of the songs Beck appears on is "Infinite Cow," a slow funky song with distorted vocals, lots of sounds (including, yes, cows), and a ripping guitar solo. Beck's part is only the little outro verse (the bolded lyrics, above). He used his best young falsetto, like he did on his "Beercan" adlibs (i.e., "Oh my goodness! It feels good! Take me down to the depot!").
