Beck produced the song "Just One Of The Guys" for Jenny Lewis' terrific 2014 album, The Voyager. (It is the only song Beck had part of on this album.)
There are some video clips of the song on Youtube of Jenny performing the song back in 2010. Beck did work with her a few years prior to 2014, but it is not clear if this song is from that work or a later session.
Jenny explained that the song came about during a "relaxing visit" to Beck's studio at his home in Malibu. "The whole experience was super laid-back — walking on the beach, talking about movies, the Rolling Stones, and French pop music. It was just very mellow and lovely," she remembered.
This is the only song Beck worked on that Lewis has released, but she has opened his tours and sung with him live a number of times. It would be thrilling if they made more music together sometime!
