Lyrics:
Ben Cooley [Version (a)]:

Don't you know early in the evening
Ben Cooley's on my dick
And it's always just the same
Ben Cooley on my dick
Ben Cooley
Ben Cooley is on my dick

Has anybody ever known the rabid rebel?
He sucks his teeth into your mind
Rabid rebel
Well I don't know what to do now
And I don't know where to go
Can you give me some guidance?
You're the rabid rebel
Ben Cooley was the man
From east coast to the land
From the shores
His eyes were so wild and wise

---

Has anybody seen or heard or felt it or tasted
What they always knew was true?
Was it true?
Was it pausal?
Was it false?
Was it true?
And did anybody face the middle?
Does anybody ever tell
The rabid rebel's spell?

The Song:

At a concert in 1996, Beck played a short acoustic set in the middle of the show. But basically, Beck played 3 improvised songs about his roadie, Ben Cooley.

I've included the first two here under this title; they are actually two distinct songs, but putting them as one seemed appropriate.

Also the third song is has some words about Ben, but is very clearly an early version of "Little One" which would be recorded for Sea Change six years later (!!).
