Lyrics:
Leave Your Razors At The Door [Version (a)]:

Leave your razors at the door
Leave your switchblades and your daggers
Your slings and arrows
Pocket knives, your pistols and your swords
Your battle axe, machine gun, Uzi and AKs
Your crossbows, your guillotine, bazookas, machetes
Your nunchuk, warhead, saber, pike
Boomerang, musket, can of mace
Harpoon, spike, ninja star
Cannon, rifles, sally rod!

Don't bring that razor in here
Don't bring that razor in here
Don't need that razor, ya hear?
Don't need that razor, my dear
Got plenty of razors in here

The Song:

This is a fragment of a song that Beck included in Song Reader.

You can hear the song here.

As with much of Song Reader, the title is a reference to an older sheet music song. Beck wrote his own words/melody for it, but in 1899 there was a blatantly racist song by this name by Dave Reed Jr. and Chas Ward.
