Lyrics:
Completely Exposed (Beck remix) [Version (a)]:

I been burning a hole in my shoe
Running from the mirror
You, yea sometimes you can't face it
To be standing in your own reflection

I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed
I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed
I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed

Tonight my cup is overflowin'
It's a stupid sorry place I'm falling
Hot tears drippin down like coffee
Through this blackness, I can't see
But sometimes I can't face to be standing
in my own reflection

I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed
I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed
I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed

Please please pull me out from under, babe
I've been down down down down too long
Please please pull me out again
I promise I'll be strong strong this time

I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed
I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed
I don't wanna be closed
But opening up has left me completely exposed

The Song:

The liner notes for Jamie Lidell's album Compass indicate the many musicians who played on it, crediting their contributions on a track-by-track basis. Unfortunately, though, the producer credits are not specific; Beck is listed as a co-producer for the album, but not which songs he produced specifically. I have listed on this site, then, only the songs in which Beck performed on--though it is possible he produced some of the others from the album too.

Beck does not appear as a musician on the original version of "Completely Exposed."

However, Beck did do a remix of "Completely Exposed," which Jamie Lidell released on to the internets. So here it is! Lidell referred to the remix as a "new jack lounge take" of the song. Beck removes some of the crunchiness of the original version, replacing it with a slightly smoother, soul song.
