Lyrics:
Reflections Of Passion [Version (a)]:

Reflect nothing in your minds
No voice with outcome
No more noise without passion
Reflection, no passion
No reflection, show affection
What do we try to forget?
Well we have reflected nothing against nothing
Passion oh oh
Voice in the night
Coiled face, all flatline
No reflection of passion
I heard it in your voice
I heard it in the noise
I left it on the road
No passion inside of our mind
???
The worn-out fray
Eclipse the night
In our reflection
Inside passion
Cry passion
Passion your own way
Reflection
You've got to notice
You've got to notice
And the noise falls
There's an underside
Reflects the lightning
Of your reflection
Of your reflection
Your reflection of passion
Next to nothing
Next to nothing
You were unreflected
Yourself against the world
You clipped a wing
?? welcome
Look into your eyes
An empty space
No passion
No passion
Aaah

The Song:

"Reflections Of Passion" is the closing track on Yanni Live At The Acropolis. Beck and his fifth Record Club project covered the album in its entirety.

The original version of the song is pretty typical Yanni-ness, a dramatic and slightly cheesy piano and orchestra combination.

The Record Club take seems to have nothing in common at all to Yanni's music (though Beck's lyrics include references to the title). Thurston Moore, Abraham Laboriel and Toss Panos all jam for 8 minutes, like some glorious garage band. Beck adds some mysterious vocals.
