Feel like a piece of shit
Feel like a piece of shit
Feel Like a Piece of Shit (Mind Control) [Version (c)]:

Feel like a piece of shit
Piece of Shit [Version (d)]:
God I feel like a piece of shit

The Song:This little Casio (an
SA-5?) beat was deemed entertaining enough to have vocals dubbed over it, and then reused three times on the same album. Beck is really just having fun with his synthesizers, and fortunately each track is short enough for the enthusiasm to not have been completely lost. They end up as a humorous filler triptych on
A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight.
"Feel Like a Piece of Shit (Mind Control)" comes first. It is played at normal speed. A few tracks later is "(Crossover Potential)," which is sped up, and has some more noises dubbed onto it, including an annoying flute-like sound. Beck's vocals come fast and furious, and aren't nearly as deep as on the other two tracks (because of the higher speed of the tape). The third variation is "(Cheetoes Time)," which is slowed down considerably, and Beck's vocals end up extremely Vader-esque.
There is also a little snippet of a beat with a voice called "Piece of Shit" on
Fresh Meat + Old Slabs. Not exactly the same thing as the
Western Harvest tracks, but I didn't really feel like giving it its own page. It shouldn't really have its own track anyway, it's more for fun, like the fight at the beginning of "
Truckdrivin Neighbors" or something like that. I'm told this beat is a sample from Prodigy's song "G-Force."
