R-Marcel (1 version)
Type: Demo
|
||
Collection of demo songs, all of which are also available on other Beck demos. Because these are 4-track tapes, it's probable that these are the actual original recordings that got transferred to other tapes (e.g. 1992 Demo, Don't Get Bent Out of Shape), but that's not certain.
In Rob Jovanovic's book Beck! On a Backwards River he mentions that the Banjo Story cover was designed by someone named Marcel. Many thanks and props to Kristofer for unearthing this! NOTE: we don't know much about the origins of this tape, and it doesn't contain any new material, so it's possible that this tape is "fake" -- i.e. not actually compiled by Beck. | ||

From Kristofer, the owner of the tape: The...sleeve is weird... It's like he's put tape over paper and then used scissors to cut out the right shape of the cover. That's why it's thicker... 1.
