small update here… i just wanted to say i’ve decided to also upload any video podcasts i do to youtube, so if you can’t figure out the subscribing in itunes thing or whatever, you can also check them out there. there’s still only one so far.

davecast #1: apartment tour

Hello. Welcome to my new blog about moving to Vancouver. Here are some things you should know:

1. If you actually care to read this blog and stay updated on my comings and goings, you should absolutely subscribe to this blog’s feed. Don’t know what a feed is? Learn about them here.
2. I have another blog that I may still occasionally write in. You should subscribe to it too: Dave Newtron, Boy Genius.
3. In addition to blogging my move, I will also be posting occasional podcasts and vodcasts. The best way to subscribe to these is in iTunes. From the “Advanced” menu, choose “Subscribe to Podcast…”. When prompted enter this URL: http://podcast.whiskeyclone.net/dave/rss.php. Whenever I post a new podcast/vodcast it will be automatically downloaded to iTunes. Don’t forget to look in your iTunes preferences to adjust how/when you want episodes downloaded and to make sure my podcast is being transferred to your iPod.
4. I know many of you will end up asking about the title of this blog, so as a preemptive strike I will tell you that it is named after an amazing band from Yuma, Arizona, Wounded Cougar. The tagline is from the Jimmie Rodgers song “Peach Pickin’ Time in Georgia” and is appropriate because my new apartment is on West Georgia St.
