Songs 15-22 were done with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and were conducted by Beck's father, David Campbell.
I was at this show, and it was brilliant. Beck's been famous for years for constantly changing up his tours and this was another iteration: rock band with orchestra.
Basically, all the songs that have an orchestral arrangement on record were pulled out and performed live with an orchestra. This had the effect of REALLY tightening up the minimal rock band that Beck had used for a few months. "Missing" and "Round The Bend" were the real revelations, songs that never had been really delivered live before--he'd played them, sure, but the strings really allowed them to be felt.
