Notes:
Setlist unconfirmed, from a fan report.
Beck took a few months off from touring Guero much of 2005, probably finished off The Information, and went back out on tour again for the summer. Tonight was the first show back, and brought a number of changes.
First, Justin Meldal-Johnsen returned to the band to play bass, after a few years away. Beck's band for this summer would become a band in their own right, the esteemed and monumental Wounded Cougar.
Tonight was the live debut of a number of Information songs ("Soldier Jane," "Nausea,"), which wouldn't come out until the fall, but they couldn't resist playing some throughout the summer anyway. "1000BPM" was introduced too, but not live, they just used the recording as a break for bears to take over, and would do that for the rest of the tour.
And finally, this was the first show with the legendary Beck Puppets. :)
PuppeTron Davis video recap: filmed around UC-Davis, the puppets talked about how healthy everyone in Davis was, tried to steal bikes and sang along to “Don’t Cha” by the Pussycat Dolls."
