Date: February 3, 2000
Leg: Midnite Vultures North American Tour 1 (Eastern US)
Venue: Hill Auditorium - University Of Michigan
City: Ann Arbor
State: Michigan
Country: United States
Notes:
Show #7 of the Vultures Eastern US Tour.
Show #26 of the full Vultures tour.
Tour debuts of "Tropicalia" and "Sing It Again."
"Feel free to act stupid," is Beck's advice right before "Milk & Honey." It takes awhile before Beck acts stupid though, picking up steam and energy more towards the end of the show.; The acoustic set was just "Hollow Log" and then "Sing It Again." On the latter, Smokestack paratrooped in to play acoustic guitar. Smokey wasn't the guitarist for this tour, but was in town, I guess, and Beck brought him out to do the song with him and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. (Also think he might have joined the group on "Cold Brains."); Mostly a strange flow to this show, like Beck and the band aren't sure what song is coming next.;
