Notes:
Beck's non-stop Odelay tour continues. They played a show in Holland on the 19th and 3 days later are back at it, with a handful of shows at the end of May 1997 all around the US. The sound quality is a little messy, it's a bit buzzy and thin.
Beck does a lot of encouraging and shouting and motivating and hyping, and the band follows his lead, rocking pretty hard. "Loser" has a long intro, because I think Beck misses his mark to start a few times, and when he does start, he jumps straight to the chorus! Then he starts the verses, like nothing happened. It's kind of sloppy, but charming.
"Thunder Peel" is dedicated to all the sexy rocks there at Red Rocks. The "Cold Rock The Party" thing on the setlist is Beck chanting "I rock the party that rocks the party!" over some mad mad scratching by DJ Swamp during the end of "Hotwax." It's pretty wild and fun.
