Beck comes out, notes the $300 seats up front, and wonders where everyone is. He plays a typical festival set for Lollapalooza, a bunch of rocks songs, a few new tunes. He says "Thunder Peel" is an example of the "original cardboard box rock of which we used to participate" and admits most people in the crowd probably don't know it. "Novacane" is introduced by its original name, "Novacane Express." Cool loose early version of "Where It's At." Full band "Asshole"s are always welcome to my ears.
