"Silver Rocket" is originally a Sonic Youth song, on their album Daydream Nation.
Beck never covered the song on his own, but a couple of times he did join Sonic Youth on stage and play on the song with them. At one of the August 1995 Lollapalooza shows where Beck and Sonic Youth were both on the lineup, he played a keyboard on the song. (It is possible and maybe likely he did this more than the once on the long Lollapalooza tour they did together.)
Then in March 1996, Beck opened Sonic Youth's European tour. Beck again joined them for the song at one of the shows.
