Hey, There's Abraham Lincoln

The Song:

To make it feel more authentic, Beck filled out his Song Reader book with fragments of songs and melodies, and even fictional album collections and made-up song titles. The back of "Heaven's Ladder" lists a collection of "songs from the afterlife" called Ye Midnight Stars, and "Hey, There's Abraham Lincoln" is one of the songs on it.

While many of the titles in Song Reader are references to older sheet music/songs, the ones on Ye Midnight Stars are mostly just humorous phrases involving death, heaven, gospel music, etc. There was a number of old sheet music songs about Abraham Lincoln and his death, this one seems to just be a joke about being in heaven.
