In order for Song Reader to feel more authentic, Beck filled out its artwork with fragments of songs, melodies, fictional album collections and made-up song titles. The back of "Saint Dude" lists 5 albums, and "Yes, We Can Sing The Flat Notes In Hill Country" is included on Songs Of The Hill Country - Sacred And Native American Melodies.
A lot of the song titles in these collections refer to older songs/sheet music, but this one does not seem to be. It is more just a joke about 'flat notes' in a hilly area. (Just by going with the hilarious titles on the Hill Country album, it's a pretty surreal and bizarre place, haha.)
