On the back of "Saint Dude," there are five albums and "When You Come Back..." is listed as part of the Male Quartette Collection.
Many of the titles on "Saint Dude" are references to older sheet music/songs, and this is no exception. There is sheet music from 1918 for a patriotic song called "When You Come Back, And You Will Come Back, There's The Whole World Waiting For You." You can see it here.
Beck didn't put this title in the patriotic song part of Song Reader though, he changed the ending, and put it in the "manly song" part.
