Lyrics:
Need You Tonight [Version (a)]:

Come over here
I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleeping
There's something about you, girl
That makes me sweat
How do you feel?
I'm lonely
How do you think?
Can't think at all
Whatcha gonna do?
Gonna live my life
Mmm I'm lonely

All you got is this moment
The 21st Century is yesterday
You can care all you want
Everybody does yeah, that's okay
So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw
I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind

I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleeping
There's something about you, girl
That makes me sweat
How do you feel?
I'm lonely
What do you think?
Can't think at all
Whatcha gonna do?
Gonna live my life
So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw
I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind

I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleeping
There's something about you, girl
That makes me sweat
How do you feel?
I'm lonely
What do you think?
Can't think at all
Whatcha gonna do?
Gonna live my life
So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw
I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind

The Song:

"Need You Tonight" is of course the big hit song by INXS, from their album Kick. Beck and his fourth Record Club project covered the album in its entirety.

INXS version of the song is a bit of seductive funk pop, and in my opinion is one of the least dated songs on Kick. Still sounds good! The Record Club maintains some of the funk, but wash out some of the INXS shininess. Annie Clark of St. Vincent sings lead, and sounds hot. The rest of the band do their thing, but still sound remarkably minimal. That's the sign of a good band.
