Hot Sun Of A Christmas Day

The Song:

"Hot Sun Of A Christmas Day" is a 43-minute Christmas-themed DJ mix that Beck posted online as part of his Planned Obsolescence series. The title comes from a famous Caetano Veloso track, "In The Hot Sun Of A Christmas Day" (Beck's a big fan).

The track was not online for long, and unlike others, any mention of it was removed after a couple of weeks around Christmas 2009, and the P.O. numbering resumed like it did not happen. (Perhaps it will be put back up every Christmas?)

UPDATE: He did put it back up a year later, for Christmas 2010! He changed the name this time to "Santa Doesn't Smoke"!

Songs on the mix include:

?? "Jingle Bells"
St. Etienne "I Don't Intend To Spend Christmas Without You"
?? "Glory Glory Hallelujah"
T. Rex "Christmas Bop"
?? "Deck The Halls" (electro/Moog? version)
Larry Nestor "Santa Doesn't Smoke Anymore"
Carla Thomas "Gee Whiz, It's Christmas"
